Catholic Visionaries: Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich
An opportunity to grow in faith and share in God's Mysteries, like: Why are we here? and How is God's love made manifest?
An opportunity to grow in faith and share in God's Mysteries, like: Why are we here? and How is God's love made manifest?
Though they can sometimes help us to reconnect to that which may have been lost, visions shared by the Catholic faithful are NOT meant to offer historical fact or absolute rules on how to live a life for Christ.
Much like a beautiful picture of faith can help us to be inspired and reflect on God's mysteries... visions, when shared by those who have been identified by the Catholic Church as having lived good and saintly lives, can be a tremendous aid for reflection and prayer.
And, as in the case of Blessed Emmerich, such visions can lead to some wonderful fruits such as Mel Gibson's the Passion of the Christ and what many believe to be the home of Mary and Joseph in Ephesus after the Crucifixion (more details here).
