This section will feature the work of James Tissot, a very special artist from the 1800s who dedicated a portion of his life to painting the life of Christ (read more about him here). Along with being influenced by Blessed Emmerich, he studied scripture, many related documents and traveled multiple times to the Holy Land to better understand the culture and history. Original works can be found at the Brooklyn Museum. Most all pictures have been downloaded from the Brooklyn site. With apologies to Tissot and those who appreciate art in full, a few have been edited with a small covering leaf. More pictures to be added!
